Pokémon FireRed Version with GBA Advance WIreless Adaptor and Pocket
Trainer's Guide
Review by Tim Velgos Ready for another great Pokémon game? This game is very hot, although it is mostly a remake of the original Red and Blue games, but with a interesting twist. Over the years, Nintendo created the following Pokémon games: Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, and Sapphire--each a bit more advanced. Well, Pokemon FireRed now has all the advancements that the other games had, like 2 Vs 2 battles, a berry pouch, contests of beauty, intelligence and other things; being able to breed Pokémon, to get just the right one you want; and other various upgrades. The music quality is remarkably improved. Instead of the high and low pitched beeps and small noises, the music is actually enjoyable. The game storyline involves this: you are in the Kanto region trying to get all the 8 badges and to become the Pokémon champion! In this game, it is possible to get all 386 pokemon, but some of them require a special item to allow you to go a certain place to catch legendary Pokémon. The other version of this game, LeafGreen, is very much similar to this game but there are certain Pokémon that can and cannot be caught in each version that the other version has. The game itself, Pokémon FireRed, has over 300 hours worth of playing to truly complete the game. And, it is also compatible with Ruby and Sapphire plus Pokémon Coliseum. However, to trade to them, you must beat the game for the first time, and collect the Ruby and Sapphire items *how ironic* after that it is then possible to obtain all the Pokémon from Red, Blue, Gold, Silver, Ruby and Sapphire! This game is so incredible, and it has so much stuff in it that I cannot even explain it all. Especially with the new Wireless Adapter(which Nintendo has generously included when you buy FireRed Version or LeafGreen Version). Also, they have included a special Pokémon Pocket Trainers Guide which consists of a color guide--complete with maps, run-downs on major characters, and even battle logs that you can fill in as you play your Pokémon! By using the GBA WIreless Adapter, you can connect with other FireRed and LeafGreen gamers, in a room that can hold up to 60 people! You can chat, trade and fight with your friends and have a great party! One small thing is that the adapter can go about 100 feet without obstructions. If there are obstructions, then try to move closer for the link to be more reliable. What a great idea for a birthday party!! Buy several of these games and tell your friends to bring along their Game Boy Advances for a great Pokémon gaming party. At the end of the party, do a raffle and raffle these games off as special birthday party prizes! You can even separate the Pocket Trainer's Guides from the games and raffle them separately!! Or, if you have a relatively small party, each guest comes away with a cartridge, adaptor, and guide of his or her own! You can't get more awesome than that! Two thumb's up to the creative geniuses at Nintendo! You've done it again!! Gotta catch 'em all--Pokémon, that is!! |
