If you've been waiting for a decent fantasy role-playing game (RPG)
on the Game Boy Advance platform, the wait is over. Golden Sun is one
of those "gotta have" games. You can play it for two weeks and still
be stunned by the challenges. Or, some say you can beat it in 12
hours with cheats.
Despite a fairly mundane plot (good versus evil, help save the world!) and a introduction which seems to last forever, the graphics are stunning and the characters are incredible! If you liked Harry Potter and magic spells, you'll love Golden Sun. Delve into the ancient science of alchemy and discover its four essential elements--earth, water, wind and fire. The characters, who wield psychic energies, include a guard, squire, flame seer, water seer, and wind seer. Along the journey you'll meet antagonists who add mystery every step of the way! To power up your characters' abilities, you'll seek out The Elemental Spirits (Djinn). These guys can change your character's class (raising attributes), and even battle and summon spirits. Travelling around the world through exotic towns and dark dungeons, you'll be amazed at the details in this epic adventure (the first of more to come!). Trust me, the sun will rise and set and you'll still be engrossed in this game which shows a little psychic power can go a long way. Use a Game Boy Advance Game Link cable (cables available for purchase separately) and play-off with a pal in a charged Arena Mode, where you can battle bunches of monsters which you have defeated in the game! This is the game to play to take advantage of the capabilities that the Game Boy Advance platform offers. Camera logic zooms, intense graphics and awesome music show that you can have it all on a handheld platform. |
